Where is The Reef House located in Palm Cove? 

Answer: The Reef House is a tranquil colonial beach house located at 99 Williams Esplanade in the centre of Palm Cove village, directly in front of the beach. We are perfectly located along the Esplanade with an easy stroll to all restaurants and shops.


What is nearby the Hotel – restaurants, shopping?

Answer: We are in the perfect location to explore the range of restaurants, boutique shopping and conveniences of Palm Cove village. There are some thirty restaurants ranging from casual cafes to fine dining within an easy stroll of the Resort. Fashion boutiques, gift shops, post office, supermarket and hair salon are all located on Williams Esplanade and are within a few metres of the hotel.

How do I get to Palm Cove?

Answer: From Airport: transfers are available from the Cairns Airport in a coach and are $25 per person each way or a private car is also available. We can arrange transfers for you – simply call 07 4080 2600 or email us with your requirements.

Taxis are readily available at the airport and are approximately $60 - $70 to Palm Cove.
From Cairns: Transfers are also available from Cairns. Public Transport buses are available for use as well and will drop you off in Palm Cove.

Uber is also available in Cairns & Palm Cove.


How far are you from the airport/Cairns/Port Douglas?

Answer: The Reef House is 25 kilometres from Cairns International Airport, approximately halfway between Cairns and Port Douglas.


Can I hire/park car at the Hotel?

Answer: Yes, upon check in you will be given a security code for access to our underground secure parking.  We also have Avis/Budget rent a car office located on the hotel premises. . 

What is your restaurant like?

Answer: Reef House Restaurant is the premier Palm Cove restaurant and is set under 300 year old Melaleuca gums swaying in the sea breeze. You’ll enjoy views looking out across the teak decking to the palms of the cove and the Coral Sea beyond – the perfect Palm Cove restaurant for those looking to enjoy fine food and tropical views. How easy is it to go on reef trips etc from your Hotel?

Answer: Tours will almost always have a hotel pick-up service available ensuring it is very easy to visit and explore the areas around Palm Cove and Far North Queensland. Our staff can also assist with reminders and wake up calls to ensure you are ready to depart on time.

What facilities do you have at Reef House – pools, activities?

Answer: We offer the tranquility and relaxation of two separate swimming pools, Jacuzzi and heated Japanese style outdoor spa.   Plenty of poolside seating and a range of complimentary to use books from our library, honesty bar and poolside dining menu ensure we provide a completely relaxing environment. Our on-site Day Spa provides a range of services to completely indulge.

Do you have internet facilities at Reef House?

Answer: Yes, we are pleased to offer complimentary WiFi access for guests staying with us both in your accommodation and throughout the Resort

What is the Day Spa like?

What Disabled room facilities and services do you offer?

Answer: We have one PWD accommodation room with wheel chair access in the bathroom and around the room. It is on the ground floor to make access easy and also has a wonderful view of our freshwater pool from the patio area.
